Office Hours:
Our
office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. We
are available daily to schedule appointments by phone from
8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. After Hours call main number and follow
options.
Telephone (864) 242-4263.
Appointments:
We will attempt to schedule all appointments according to
the patient’s needs. Some insurance plans require a referral
by the primary care provider before appointments are made.
It is the responsibility of the patient to know the requirements
of their particular plan. A parent or legal guardian must accompany
anyone under the age of 18 at the time of their appointment.
Due to the nature of our specialty there may be emergency
appointments that can lead to unscheduled delays. We will keep
you informed of delays and reschedule appointments as necessary.
What to Bring to Your Appointment:
- Current
insurance cards
- Co-pay and deductible payments
- A list of medications you are currently taking
- Any recent medical records and/or x-rays from other physicians
pertaining to the problem
- Referral Form from Primary Care Provider (PCP) if necessary
Medical Questions & Emergencies
If you have medical questions, problems or special needs you
are encouraged to call the office at (864) 242-4263 during
regular business hours. If you have an emergency after hours,
the answering service will contact the doctor on call.
Prescriptions:
Prescriptions and renewals of prescriptions should be completed
during a regular office visit. Renewal prescriptions can be
handled over the telephone during regular office hours. We
regret that we are unable to provide prescriptions after hours
or on weekends.
Insurance Coverage:
Insurance is filed as a courtesy to patients; however, the
patient is responsible for any co-pays or unmet deductible
at the time of service. This office participates in most health
insurance plans. Please contact your insurance company regarding
your benefits.
An Explanation of Fracture Charges:
The charge for the diagnosis and treatment of your fracture
is called a global fee. A global fee is a one-time charge that
covers the physician’s office visits (after the first
one) for a period of 90 days. The initial cast is included
in the global fee. X-rays, additional casts or splints and
other supplies are NOT included in this global fee.
The global fee is endorsed by the American Academy of Orthopedic
Surgeons and the American Medical Association. It is recognized
by Medicare, Medicaid, Worker’s Compensation, Blue Cross/Blue
Shield and all commercial insurances.
We realize that medical care can be quite expensive and that
patients are frequently out of work due to their injury or
illness. If you anticipate financial hardship, please discuss
it with our accounting staff to make appropriate arrangements. |
